Private residence location

This stunning flat in the heart of London combines historic detailing with modern living. The project required a full refurbishment to make the most of its limited footprint and create a bright, open home for the owners. The original floorplan included a cramped galley kitchen and awkward entryway space that were amalgamated into a more functional kitchen / living space.

An important part of our design work is the preservation of original features within the home. Here you can see how the characterful beams have been highlighted and restored to become a focal point within the open plan living area. we ensured the beams were revived in such a way that they will last a lifetime without losing their historic patina, rust and all.

We made the most of the living area in this converted top floor flat by removing the loft storage and uncovering the structural wood beams. This not only created a focal point to the room but also added height and light. To further maximise space we introduced panelled pocket doors throughout enabling us to make full use of the floorplan whilst still reflecting  the classic design of the home.

The interiors build on a soft neutral base with dark bronze ironmongery to create a relaxing warm feel whilst complimenting the original features. This foundation allows for the client to put their own style into the home as it creates the perfect blank canvas.
