Expanded Site Plan - KHS,CG,CT,WC+ES (No Number,No Green) smaller.jpg

This charming London flat is located in a distinguished period building a stone’s throw from Sloane Square. Split across two floors the home had a lot of potential but was in desperate need of modernisation with dated finishes and redundant built in elements. We worked closely with the client to evaluate their needs and style, settling on a full refurbishment of the property and modern take on its interiors.

The upper floor of this split-level flat included a utility room that closed off the space at the top of the stairs, creating a claustrophobic corridor that lacked natural light. We relocated the washer and dryer to purpose-built cabinetry in the kitchen and opened up the small room to create a mezzanine landing in its place. This reworking of the floorplan made the space feel far brighter and more spacious, allowing the natural light to reach the end of the corridor.

For the interiors we chose a warm neutral base with a different accent colour for each room. The living and dining area uses a grounding olive green and deep espresso brown to create a relaxing, cosy space perfect for entertaining or unwinding with a glass of wine.

The client requested we work with a selection of their existing pieces for the interior design. This included a bold orange chair and a pair of Damien Hurst blossom paintings, both of which influenced elements of the schemes in their respective rooms.
